Wintel Backup Result - How to get the details

Hi.

I found the backup result for wintel machine are always FAILED because some files are opening when performing the backup. The log on the client only shows the number of files backup succeed and failed.



I want to know if there is any method to show the file name which are backup failed.



I used the command: dsmc -i filename

I perform incremental backup and backup all the things.



I want to know which files are always open and so that I can exclude those files when backup. Then, I can have "SCCEED" result on the TSM server log.



Any advise or any suggestion ?

this can be seen in the server. With operational reporting it is easy.

Go to you management console --> TSM Server1 --> reports --> operational report --> daily report (create one first).



In here you will see all the details on failed files (also summarized accross all clients)
