Windows RMAN Windows Command Script

I need a Windows based command line script (Winscript) that will do error checking as it executes an RMAN backup (i.e. checks at each step of the RMAN connect to the DB, initiation, and backing up of the DB). I am not versed in Windows Scripting and figured someone has to have something like this already. If so I would appreciate an example.
