Trying to get TSM to "talk" to NAS celerra however I dont know how to get port 10000 listening. We have configured the NAS as a node on TSM but on defining the datamover we get the following:

Command failed with error below...
ANR4728E Server connection to file server xx.xx.xxx.xx failed. Please check the attributes of the file server specified during definition of the datamover.
ANR1775I Data mover NAS has been defined, however a connection to the
data mover failed. Please check the attributes of the file server specified in the definition of the data mover.

What do I need to enable/start etc
Also how do I find out if this ip is the control station not the cif ?

EMC has a PDF document that outlines all the steps needed on the Celerra. There are a bunch of items like discovering the tape devices, setting up VDMs and TLU and such, including adding the NDMP user & password that TSM will use.

The doc they sent me was:

P/N 300-004-181
Rev A02

Hi thanks - we where following that but it turned out to be a fault card on the AIX server. Thanks for your reply.
