We have a small VM environment of about 90 windows clients. Currently we are using VCB though we will need to look at alternative backup options to work with the VSphere API.
I thought it would be a good idea to utilize an existing p520 with Aix 5.3, install TSM 6.2 on that and have the VMs backup to that with the storage pools on our main TSM 5.5. server...
... That was until I read the IBM Server Requirements

12Gig minimum? Why? Is DB2 that much of a resource problem even without using Deduplication?
Is there anyone out there in same boat as I am ?
