hello there is a volume history file that update regular, I want to keep another copy of volhist.out file on my D: dirve ....

every morning i have to copy volhist file and save it on the safe location manually, i want to perform this task automatically , I want to keep same up to date copy of volhist file on my D: dirve automatically

I have created a admin schedule for this task.The command for this task is

backup volhist filenames="d:\Backup\volhist.out"

try this and let me know.

backup volhist filenames="d:\Backup\volhist.out"

will backup volhist file to -----> " D:\backup\volhist.out " location

when i try to backup volhist on d drive it gave me the below error

Hi Tsmlover,

Have you created the Folder in "D:\volhist" ?
Is there the proper authority to write to the Folder ?
Check is there free space in D:\

I know this thread is closed but just for future reference. You can add an additional line in the server opt file pointing to the location you want to store an additional vohist and devcfg file.
