Urgent Help Needed for TSM 5.2 Client on AIX

I got a Sev 1 ticket this morning from the UNIX team stating that our client is filling the rootvg.

The are saying the following paths are creating the issue:

302076 //opt/tivoli
302072 //opt/tivoli/cit
273364 //opt/tivoli/cit/cache_data
273360 //opt/tivoli/cit/cache_data/__root
83468 //opt/tivoli/cit/cache_data/__root/fsc_fil.dat
41552 //opt/tivoli/cit/cache_data/__root/fsc_dir.dat
32328 //opt/tivoli/cit/cache_data/__root/fsc_fil_FILENAME.idx
32308 //opt/tivoli/cit/cache_data/__root/fsc_fil_PATHID.idx
28336 //opt/tivoli/cit/bin



A quick Google search tells me that these direcotries belong to Tivoli Assest Manger or Tivoli Provisioning Manager.

The client version, 5.2, is out of support. If anyone could shed some light I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Stop the Tivoli service! This is not a TSM issue - the Tivoli APP has gone haywire; and delete the logs it created.

By the way, I have seen this before - bad setup issue.

My services currently are not running. The backup actually Missed the previous 2 nights. So nothing it running for TSM now.

Can you expand on Tivoli APP? Do you have any idea on who would own this or how I can get it corrected?

As I said this is not a TSM issue - don't grep for DSM!

Do you do monitoring or asset management from Tivoli? This is your problem - find out who the group in your company does this.

No, I do not. I was trying to gather more solid facts to prove it's not on TSM. I have sent the information to UNIX and I'm waiting a response.
