It's my first time to upgrade the TSM client. Please answer my questions and see if the steps are ok.
1. Do I need to uninstall the old version? If not, do I need to stop the client first?
2. smitty install
select the API and BA file
and do the following setting:
PREVIEW only? (install operation will NOT occur) = no
COMMIT software updates? = yes
Automatically install requisite software = no
Overwrite same or newer versions = yes
Accept new license agreements = yes
3. start the client, if it needs to be stopped before upgrade
nohup dsmc sched>/dev/null &
