Upgrade to 5.3 client How do I tell if Open File is working

I recently upgraded all servers being backed up in our environment. Upgrade went from the 5.2.3 client to 5.3. Even though Every thing went okay I am wondering if there is a way to tell if open file is working? At least any way short of doing a restore.

Any information that you could provide would be wonderful.

I believe you needed to uninstall the LVSA and reinstall it with the upgrade to 5.3. Did you do this? If not it might not be working correctly.
