Hi,
Our problem is crazy, we used the Administrator console of 5.3 and did the following.
1. Choose "create like schedule" and in that under action in sub menu choose "RUN MACRO".
2. The macro had two lines, first was to clear Volhistory of the db backup of todate=today-2.
3. Second line was a backup db point to a file which lists out TWO tape Lables, we point to the correct Devclass etc.
4. More important both the above commands work perfectly when run under the command line prompt and do what is expected.
5. When created as a scheduled job, its get queded but never RUNS. The activity log has not record of any errors or any thing.
6. One thing we noticed is that under WIZARDS we check for the three services, i.e TSM server, TSM SCSI device driver and TSM scheduler. Only the scheduler is never running.
When we go into the client on the backup server and configure the sheduler also this never runs. Is this the problem.
Do help, we are going MAD, its on a Windows 2000 machine.
