TSMVE Copygroup Vaules

Hi Everyone

I'm currently setting up and testing our new TSM VE capabilities (we have recently upgraded) but I'm having trouble setting the copy group values to reflect what I want in terms of keeping VM restore points. I would like to keep 3 restore point for our VM's so I have set the following in the copygroup that applies.
VEREXISTS =3
VERDEL=0
RETEXTRA=0
RETONLY=0

my understanding is that this would keep three restores points but after a few days have passed i only have one restore point available for the VM I'm backing up (test VM)

we are running TSM 7.1 on windows 2012

any help much appreciated
