hi,

above message get on a new installed w12 server and changer device not working.
how to disable in windows this feature? or any other idea to get the server to work?

thanks in advance

it is an emulated adic 10k changer (a Centricstor VTL) with also emulated ibm lto4 drives.
changer wasnt support by windows, so that it was an "unknown changer", after installing changed to Tivoli Chagnger but had a yellow mark in device manager. dont appeared by tsmdlst.

There is no Windows driver, but is that a native driver? ADIC was bought by Quantum, you could check with Quantum if they have a driver for the Adic 10k.

If not, you can use the TSM device driver. It's not signed, so you will have to accept that if you want to use the TSM DD. If you are not OK with that, then check if your Centricstor can emulate another library that you can find drivers for.

it isnt a problem with acceptance of non digitally signed, but no changer is visible with this driver!
for this reason ask for a method to disable digitally checking in windows.

If you were able to override accept the driver even if it wasn't signed, disabling the check should not be necessary. Here's a few hits if you want to try to disable it anyway: https://www.google.ca/search?q=windows+disable+check+signed+drivers

After you put the driver, does the Medium Changer still shows Unknown in Device Manager?
Did you follow these steps to install the driver: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowled...itsm.srv.doc/t_devices_install_tsmdd_win.html ?
Did you follow these steps to assign the driver to the device: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowled..._controlling_with_tsm_device_driver_win.html?

will try tomorrow disabling signatur check
after driver installation the changer is a Tivoli Changer ... other questions may answer with yes

unfortunatly by tsmdlst not visible!

Try the following:
- delete the device from device manager
- reboot
- Windows will detect the device automatically and you can select the TSM DD for it
- if Windows doesn't detect it, go in Device Manager and scan for new devices.

Then retry to see if tsmdlst sees it.

this driver dont working with 2012 r2 datacenter edition!
disabled signature checking also dont work, rc=10 "this driver cannot start" or similar!
changed robot emulation to adic 1000 and using lto driver from atape works, so will stay in this constellation now.
thanks for your help
