I am looking for Domain, Management Class, Archive, Retention and Copy Group Best Practices palanning implementation. since I am coming from TSM5, before installing TSM7. Do you have people excel sheet for that:
- Do I need 3 separated SAN LUNS for TSM DB,Active log and Archive log.
- How much the size for each LUN will be Calculated According I think it will be based on the excel sheet
- The excel sheet should contain all data related to each backup client (Name, IP, backup policy, OS, Retention, Archive)
- I have a IBM TSM license for 7 TB

appreciated your help, recommendation....

Domain policies have not changed, so if you are satisfired with your policies, you can stick with it. There's no best practice in that regards because everybody had different requirements.

At the very minimum, 4 LUNs for database is best. source: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSGSG7_7.1.1/com.ibm.itsm.perf.doc/r_chklist_srvdbdsk.html
And one each for the logs, souce: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowl...m.ibm.itsm.perf.doc/r_chklist_srvrlogdsk.html

I don't have a spreadsheet, but the manual does show how to estimate the size: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowl....srv.install.doc/t_srv_plan_capacity-aix.html
