Hi together,

we have Data Protection for Virtual Environments Version 7.1.1.0

In a schedule you could exlude virtual machines with a filter. I have excluded about 30 vm´s but every day maybe 10 vm´s covered by the same filter are backuped.

Does anyone the same problem or knows the solution for this problem?

Kind Regards,
Dominik

hello ,

I have the same problem,
a rule was backed up vm in another data center.
I have corrected many things

firstly, my vm_datacenter_name had the same name as the data center in the client vmware and it's a bad thing

secondly i create one proxy server by data center , to isolate backups

I advise you to avoid creating your schedules manually , especially if you have a lot of exclusion.
does not exceed 512 characters and use the GUI.
if you use the gui i find a bug , for example if you backup a vmhostcluster and you update the rule with the GUI ,
you will see with the cli that your sched doesn't use vmhostcluster but all the names of ESX
and your sched exceeds 512 characters but it is even registered.
because of this bug, the exclusions are ignored

(sorry for my english :)
