TSM Windows Client upgrade from 5.3.0 to 5.3.3

I assume you talk about Windows. You'll find details about the migration procedure in the readme (yeah, I know.. reading readmes is dull work. I'd also rather skip the readme and just click on "next" until there's no more next to click. Than I'd resort to clicking "finish" until that runs out, too. And if the thing asks me whether I'd l ike to reboot, I'd answer "no"... no matter what.)

;)

Hi there -

It never asks for a reboot (unless there are issues...)

No uninstall is required -

(unless you run into some odd server issues...

If you do - then after you uninstall it, you would want / may be required to do a reboot before re-installing)

We upgraded all of ours (from 5.3.0 to 5.3.4) just by running the install program.

But to be safe, you can stop all the TSM services & uninstall using the Add/Remove Programs panel -

Then install the newer version.

This would not require a reboot to do.

(Note that if you fail to stop the services, you will have issues during the install)
