Hi,

I hope this is the right forum.
I have got a strange problem:
TSM 5.3.0.0 running on Windows Server 2003.
TSM was running fine until now.

We had problems with a DELL Storage System and 3 partitions with DSM files from the primary diskpool on it.
TSM marked them as "readonly" and continued running.
But when I tried to change the status of these volumes there was an error message.
Because I could not see the health status in ISC I tried to change the pasword of the user "ADMIN_CENTER" within ISC it did not work but when using the command line.

Now the disk array is back online with all volumes and I could change the status to "read/write online".

Now following occurs: When I try to change the password of the user ADMIN_CENTER the TSM Service crashes.
It also crashes when I try an "audit volume" on the affected volumes.
It even crashes when using "query admin" command.

This is the error message:
"TSM Server Diagnostic: ANR9999D: ADSM Exception Information: file = pkthread.c, line = 2256,Code = e0000001, Address = 7C815E02~"

Help would be really appreaciated.

Base server code

You should not install and run the base level of the TSM server code 5.3.0.0.
You should install patch or maintenance. We are running v5.3.2.0 and it's very stable.

TT

Hi,

and thanks for the reply.
Upgrading to 5.3.5.1 did not solve the problem.

But I have found that the problem was caused by the ADMIN_CENTER user who was corrupt or corrupted the TSM database.

Now system is running fine again.
