hi all,

when I launch the command "./dsmc q session" I got the following error in my error log:

"05/18/2005 14:19:58 ANS1834S Unable to write to 'System:Library:preferences:Tivoli Storage Manager:TSM.PWD' for storing password"

I'm under Mac OS X. Anyone has an idea what's happening ?

thanx

Wow, mac huh. What is the dsm.sys for this client asking? It seems to me like you either have an invalid path or not enough rights. TSM.PWD shows up when you set the option password access to generate and usually just rights the file to whever your environment tells it to.

Hi,

Try using the GUI (TSM Backup for Administrator) to generate the PWD file first and then use the command line. Mac has implement some things that are different from normal unix boxes.

Cliff

What happens when you use prompt for password access?
