TSM Licensing

Hi We have a TSM server 5.4 with 200 clients on AIX 5.3.
Now we want to add another 20 Clients out of which 10 Clients need both oracle DB backup and file system backup. So i'm really not aware of how many types of licenses i should purchase for adding new clients. could you please help. TIA

The format now is per CPU, whether it is physically or multiple cored units. Each processor or core is assigned a Unit Value and will be different for RISC or CISC based processors.

In your case, if a node has a BA and Data Protection for Databases client installed, and has two, dual-core processor units you will be looking at licensing for 8 processors X the Value Units (whatever that is).

I suggest you run this by your IBM TSM rep.
