    Hello,

I'm Installing TSM client on ESX servers. But client wants to backup each virtual machine seperately (need to install tsm client on each virtual machine). Is there a way other than this. I mean, can we install TSM client on ESX servers and from there can we backup Virtual Machines with out installing TSM client on each Virtual Machine.

Could you please help me as I'm new to VMWare infra.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Thanks & Best Regards,
    sramb1

check the ibm website. there is tsm for vmware environment.

basically what you need is a proxy-server. and you do all the backups in the proxy-server for the all the vm's you have

Best way is use data protection for vmware.
You can register nodes as esxcluster name and put configuration files at proxy servers.
Both file level and image backup-restores can be performed
