Hello All,
I have a problem... A new repository was created on new storage and it was fine. By mistake the volume, where repository was defined, had been deleted. We recreated the repository, but it does not fix the problem. It is in offline state and Fastback server is in limited mode. Error message from TSM FastBack log is that there is a problem with signature ...

By "recreating the repository" did you mean you recreated the volume? If so, Fastback doesn't know about the volume because the required files haven't been created on that volume. So there are a couple of things you can try.

1) You can try to "Claim" the repository. Under General Configuration | Storage Pool, right-click on Repository Pool and the Claim Repository option should be enabled. That will prompt for the Locations.ini file which is in the Fastback server directory.

2) Before doing this step, make sure that the recreated volume is setup exactly as the old volume was. Stop the Fastback Server service. In the Folder Options control panel, turn on the "Show hidden files" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files." Go to your "Tivoli\TSM\Fastback\server" directory under All Users or ProgramData (OS specific). Copy the following files to the newly created volume. After the copy, start FastBack again.

FXVersion.txt
conf.txt & conf.txt.sig
history.txt & history.txt.sig
inprogress.txt & inprogress.txt.sig
locations.ini & locations.ini.sig
orabr_conf.txt & orabr_conf.txt.sig
state.txt & state.txt.sig
users_enc.txt & users_enc.txt.sig
