TSM client passwords

The default directory for AIX is /etc/security/adsm and for other UNIX/Linux platforms it is /etc/adsm.

For Windows it is stored under the registry key for the TSM client.

Thanks Chad,

Do you know if this is saved as a variable?

The reason is, it seems passwords are becomming expired randomly, sometimes as the server is rebooted.
We're looking for a way to prevent this.

Other info: we have all clients and admins passwords set to -0- (never expire).

I am taking a guess but think this is why it is happening. Your PAS***P is set to the default which is 60-90 days I think. I would change it to PAS***P 9999. Then you have unlimited password expirations.

OMG stupid stars P A S S E X P is what the stars are.

Actually, you do set the expiration to -0- for never expire.

Here is the deal. If you add a node and set the password it uses the server default. You can set everything to 0 but if you like us and have hundreds of nodes make that option file change.
