Total number of slots mismatch

Our TSM server console shows currently malfunctioning showing 50 slots where it suppose to be 44 slots. However the IBM Tape Library web interface shows correct number of slots which is 44.
I have run "audit libr <library name> to rescan the library but it does not help.
Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The extra slots cold be because the TSM server interprest EE (IO) slots as storage slots.
Who is the manufacturer and what model is the library?
Is the library currently working or do you have anny issues due to the increased number of slots?
 
Tape Library:
IBM TS3200
3573
2 Drives
4 Magazines (12x slots each magazine)
3 I/O slots 1 Reserved for the Cleaning Tape
Total available usable slots is 44
Firmware of the Library and drive are already updated to latest.
Tape Library has an error showing up, different errors appears, i,e HE: Mechanical Blocked,
HE: Rotation Sometimes I/O slot or magazines cant be ejected.

TSM server is Windows base but no GUI, it only has TSM Admin CLI console where I use to manage all commands
TSM server and the Tape Library are already restarted.
I'm really confused if it is TSM issue or Tape Library Issue or is it in between of the two which is a device driver?
 
Just to be sure: after restart same errors occured.

Send your error message from activity log and the output of: show slots <yourlibraryname>
 
Below is a log from Tape Library: Error will vanish after restart but it will come back sometime during the day. The time it will come back is unknown. I have total of 4 different errors circling around each restart is done.
I dont have the show slots output at the moment as because I'm offsite at the moment. I'll post it on Monday. Thanks for the help.

Strange problem.
I would advice that you reconfigure the library in TSM from scratch.
backup up your dev config to a new file (backup devconfig file=c:\temp\devconfig.001 )
this file can then be used to recreate the library and paths and drives.

Then start by removing the paths to the drives: del path servername drive srct=server destt=drive library=libname
remove the drives: del drive libname drive
remove the path to the library: del path servernmae libname srct=server destt=library
remove the library: del library libname

Then manually remove the tapes in the io slots and make sure that the tapdrives are empty as well.
run the commands from the devconfig.001 that you saved earlier.
if you are feling lazy just copy from the text file and run the commands twice, the information in the devconfig is in reverse order but running the commands twice works :)
 
Finally resolved the slot number issue however I'm still dealing with hardware issue which is already escalated to IBM. Chassis is replaced but still having Hardware error=(.
Below is how slot number is fixed.
Updated the "show_libvol" script. q script scriptname f=l.
You will see that the script does a calculation from 50 as total slots. Change the 50 to 44.
Update script scriptname "command" line=line number.
