TDPSQL - Rebind to another Management Class?

Hello!

Currently I have three management classes (SQLDATA, SQLLOG, SQLMETA) with certain retentions, all SQL Servers use them. I would like to lower the retention for our test SQL Servers to save space.

I have created SQLTESTDATA, SQLTESTLOG, SQLTESTMETA but have a question. If I change the .opt to use these new management classes, what will happen to backups that have used the previous management classes? Will some sort of rebinding take place or will they "age out" according to the old managemnt class and only new backups will use the new one?

Well, I ran into another problem. Since data and meta have different copy locations in our setup, I was not able to change the management class at all. I noticed this during the full backup, I got an ANS0328E.

Be VERY careful with management class changes for SQL TDP nodes......

It is not as simple, nor act the same, as a rebinding of file system files.
