What you exactly mean by TDP Exchange reporting? What do you want reported?

I want to know how much data/objects was based up and whether or not it was succesfull.

All you need is to query the log. Look for the summary at the end of the log and send this result via e-mail. This portion is all that you need:


Total storage groups requested for backup: 3
Total storage groups backed up: 3
Total storage groups expired: 0
Total storage groups excluded: 0

Throughput rate: 15,229.36 Kb/Sec
Total bytes transferred: 2,998,985,722
Elapsed processing time: 192.31 Secs


You need to do some VB Scripting or DOS batch file scripting to do this.

Hey moon buddy, i want to add some more information...

we can see the output of exchange backkup status on this log file tdpexchange\excsch.log within exchagne server

but we cant email this txt file to the management since they want to see this information on TSM Reporting...

do you have any idea to get this information on TSM reporting so that we can send the reports to the management on daily basis as a prove
