TDP Exchange configuration to use VSS

Hello Everyone,

I had configured TDP v5.4 for legacy backup and it is working fine.The customer is requesting us to show a demo for restoring a single mail box.I hope many of you would have done this so kindly let me the procedure for doing this.

Secondly in order to setup VSS based backup what are the parameters needs to be changed.

To go for the single mail box restore

Exmerge has to be configured in the Exchange server. Install the Exmerge utility available in the website. Then configure the location of the Exmerge file to installation path of exchange and has to change parameters in exmerge.ini file. Please refer the configuration in the PDF or if required i can also share.

Then you can perform the single mail box restore using the TDP for exchange GUI.

Just to clarify:

ExMerge will create individual PST files for every single mail ID defined in Exchange. The resulting files are plain files and not backed up by TDP for Exchange but by the BA client.

Thus, the restore is via the BA GUI or Web client.
