Tape Label Discrepancy between TSM and LTO Library

We have a new TSM V7.1 system with a 4 drive LTO5 IBM TS3310 library. I'm loading new tapes into the library for the first time using the command:
LABEL LIBVOL <LIBRARY NAME> SEARCH=BULK CHECKIN=SCRATCH LABELS=BARCODE OVERWRITE=YES.
After the process finishes and the tapes are checked in, the library management GUI displays the tapes in slots with the correct 8 character label Ex; UP0001L5. However, when I do a Q LIBVOL in TSM, the tape appears as UP0001. The L5 is getting dropped. Any idea why ? Thanks

Have you tried relabeling them using the LABEL LIBVOLUME with LABELSource=Barcode?

Look at the panel of the library to determine how it reads the barcode.

Thanks. I found the library setting for "Media Volume Serial Number Format". It was set to STANDARD. I changed it to EXTENDED, checked out the tapes, ran the LABEL LIBVOL command again, and everything is fixed.
