tape as a filesystem

I would like to know if is possible into TSM or some other product represent tape pool as filesystem?Thanks for advice.

if mean to say taking backup on storage yes you have to define filedevice class and pointing to storage locaiton

You can not mount a tape as a filesystem for access. You can use TSM's HSM to move files onto tape that are not being used which frees up space on the host. HSM will automatically recall(restore from tape) files when requested. EMC Networker has the same feature called Disk Extender I believe.
