Hi,

I have installed a fresh TSM Server 5.4.0.3 on Windows Server 2003 R2, SP2.
TSM is running.
The server is a Dell PE with two Xeons and 2GB RAM.

I wanted to install ISC 6.0.1.1 on the same machine and it runs through but at the last point of the installation "Applying Fixpack 6.0.1.1" the installation stands still at 99%.
No error message, nothing.
It seems that the installation package contains 6.0.1 and the fixpack 6.0.1.1.
6.0.1 seemes to be installed but not the fixpack.

When I cancel the installation after 30 minutes there is still no error message but it does not work and I can uninstall without problems.

Has anyone of you had a similar problem?

That is really annoying.

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problems a few months back trying to install it on my Linux server. I was at one the the users groups, and the rep there from IBM said it is broken and the won't be fixing it till a later release of 5.4 comes out. Even though the 6.0.1.1 update fails, the 6.01 should still get installed as part of the install process. At least that what it did on my Linux server.

Hi,

and thanks for the answer!
We solved the problem.

The problem was that no JRE was installed on the server or that there was no entry in the PATH variable for Java.

Very strange becuase 6.0.1 was running without problems.
After we installed Java JRE 1.42 manually the setup of 6.0.1.1 was successfull.

Regards
