Do you have the same parametrs tcpclientaddress and port on client and server side ?
Try to PING SERVER <servername> for validate connection.

Hi Efim,

When i ping from server the storage agent address, it says connection established.

but the problem continues.

My TSM server (5.5) which is on RHEL 4.5 as both server and client in it.
(TSMserver, storage and library all are on SAN) (servername FILESERVER1)

I am installing storage agent 5.4.3 on other server (FILESERVER2) in SAN.
i have already installed client in Fileserver2. (dsm.sys file has FILESERVER1 address in it)

do suggest me any configuration changes that r to be made in this setup..

Regards,
Storageadmin.

Hi,
Please check following options,

1. ping from server to client and client to server.
2. Telnet from client.
3. Check the password which you register node on server and on client with dsmsta command.
4. check that devconfig.sta is created in /usr/tivoli/tsm/Sto*/bin/

Above all verify the passwords which you registered .

Good Luck.
