Serious issue with Tsmlvsa.sys

After upgrading a Window 2000 - SQL 2000 server from 5.1.6.0 to 5.2.3.1 reboot results in Stop error 0x0000007F (UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP). IBM Tivoli support site references #: 1189574 describes an issue with the TSMLVSA.sys file. This is a kernel mode file system driver that can cause the system to blue screen. The Solution provided is not helping in our case. Does anyone else have any experience with this issue?

Two things:

1) In the upgrade from 5.1.x to 5.2.x... you probably installed the OFS feature for the client. TSMLVSA.sys relates to image backups (OFS also uses snapshot backups).

2) You will notice that the DCF# 1189574 applies only to 5.2, 5.2.2, and 5.2.3... and upgrade of the client to the latest client level will probably resolve the issue.
