Hello,

We would like to use TDP for Oracle DB.
We perform brbackup, without rman, offline during the week end and online during the other days.

We have suggested our TSM admin to configure the serialization to dynamic,
so that the opened data files, could be backed up without retries.

Do you configure the same on your side?
If no, could you please explain why dynamic is not the best option?

Thanks in advacne for your help.

Only applies to file backup, not API backups like TDPs.
SERialization
Specifies how Tivoli Storage Manager processes files or directories when they are modified during backup processing. This parameter is optional. The default value is SHRSTATIC.

Nothing can be done with the API with that regards.
If no, could you please explain why dynamic is not the best option?
Irrelevant for the API.
