Reading the content of the help for the set dbrecovery , for the IBM SP 8.1.3 states the following :
    "
Use this command to specify the device class and number of data streams
to be used for automatic database backups. You can also use this command
to configure the BACKUP DB command to automatically back up the master
    encryption key for the server."

What does it mean with automatic database backups? There is no option to set a schedule for backup db, through the OC, only to execute the command manually from the admin prompt. Do I have to create an admin schedule using the command define schedule ... type=admin?

It triggers a database backup automatically if the archive log becomes near full. I forget what the threshold is, 80 or 90%. It doesn't replace your daily backup.

    Yes.
