Schduler is not working

hi i have updtaed some firwall rules and after that mine scduler is not working on window servers
i just open these all node
From Tivoli to Client and from CLient to Tivoli
1500,1501,1581

mine dsm.opt file have following information in widow client
and session is also started by the Client not server :

hi,

Change the opt option "SCHEDMODE PROMPTED" to "SCHEDMODE POLLING".

This may solve the problem with the firewall rules
 
Hi,

Get in to the services.Msc and check the scheduler service is running. If the service is already in the running state, just restart the service once and check whether the backup is happening.

Are you sure the client scheduler is running? try to telnet to 1501 both locally and from the tsm-server to see if you have contact.

Is this client on the same LAN as the server? If not you might want to set TCPCLIENTADDRESS in dsm.opt.
 
1. What services are running on the client? Just the scheduler? Check and list the names and status of the scheduler and cad services. You shouldn't be using the client acceptor daemon (cad) through a firewall its not going to work unless you open up the rules to client:* <-> server:*.

Post the output of dos command "netstat -an" on your client so we can see that the proper ports are being listened on.

2. If SessionInitialization=ClientorServer you probably need to enable any port on the client to connect to server port 1500. ie.

allow client:* -> server:1500


Next time you post, post output of relevant commands its difficult to help you otherwise. Eg. q node <nodename> f=d etc.
