Has anyone done pre and post commands for SAP sybase? I need to stop SAP and stop Sybase to do offline backups, however, the commands need to be run in the SAP kernel - I cant seem to get my scripts to function once in the kernel.

Okay, I was able to get the pre command script working, SAP comes down, backup works. But the post command will not restart the instance. Fails on the DB portion which from looking on the web looks to be a known issue and you have to start the database first?

Anyone have experience with this?
