RMAN script causing troubles?

Hi All,

we are receiving backup failures in TSM for oracle sap db.
Usually those are ANR2579E RC = 5 and RC = 2

db admin shared below log:

RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on sbt_1 channel at 03/20/2016 00:10:21
ORA-27192: skgfcls: sbtclose2 returned error - failed to close file
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
BKI9309E: Operation terminated due to an explicit abort request.
ORA-19502: write error on file "sterod.122287", block number 76399 (block size=8192)
ORA-27030: skgfwrt: sbtwrite2 returned error
ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
BKI5008E: Tivoli Storage Manager Error.
channel sbt_1 disabled, job failed on it will be run on another channel
channel sbt_2: finished piece 1 at 20-MAR-16

please advise if channel sbt_1 failure can be related with couple of drives issues on site?
are those ANR2578E RC 2/5 caused by rman script exiting with strange status?

i believe the backup has completed but script found error wih sbt channel so pushed it further to TSM
should adding exit 0 to script be considered?
