I have an upcoming project and I am failrly new to TSM.

The project is to restore expired data from IBM 3995 optical platters, to re-ingest the data into OnDemand.

Has anyone tried this before or have any suggestions?

Thanks,

John

Create a new device class for the new device. Create the new storage pool based against the new device class.

Perform a move data command from one stg pool to the other.

Good luck

I suspect that the data have expire from the TSM Server.

Do you have the database backup when the data is still valid?

If not good luck.
