restore encrypted backup

Hi,

Is it possible to just copy the passsword file on the target machine(tsm client) that I would want to restore the encrypted backup, so that it would not prompt for the encryption key during restore?

Yes,
You can copy the encrypted password file on the target server. But at any rate for the FIRST time, you need to enter the password.
That is the main reason I believe most of the time we DONT PREFER to encrypt by node.

FYI:
If you loose the pwd file or if the file got corrupted, YOU CANNOT restore any data.
