RedHat Enterprise Edition 5 & TSM Client

Grabbed the latest and greatest client to install on RHE 5, and ran into
the following error when attempting to install:

error: Failed dependencies:
libstdc++.so.5 is needed by TIVsm-API-5.4.1-2.i386
libstdc++.so.5(CXXABI_1.2) is needed by TIVsm-API-5.4.1-2.i386
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2) is needed by TIVsm-API-5.4.1-2.i386
libstdc++.so.5(GLIBCPP_3.2.2) is needed by TIVsm-API-5.4.1-2.i386


As I journeyed back a few version of the 5.4.x and 5.3.x clients I
am still getting the same thing.

Anyone know have any clues?

You may want to install the compat-libstdc++ package. This one provides a libstdc++.so.5.
