Hello,

We are using Exchange 2010 (6.3.0.0) (with an active and passive copy. when we start an incremental back-up, sometims one of the passive databases goes down
I see nothing strange on the TSM server (6.2.2.0), but see the following on the Exchange servers:

Event 2058
The Microsoft Exchange Replication service was unable to perform an incremental reseed of database copy 'AAAAA\BBBB' due to a network error. The database copy status will be set to Disconnected. Error A timeout occurred while communicating with server 'CCCCC'. Error: "A connection could not be completed within 5 seconds."

followed by

Event 2059
The required log file 1 for AAAAA\BBBB is missing on the active copy. If you removed the log file, please replace it. If the log file is lost, the database copy will need to be reseeded using Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy.

what can be the problem, we see no network and storage problems. We have 4 exchange severs, all 4 have the same problem.

Thanks

Ronald

Is this a new install or has been running before?

If this was OK before, what Service Pack was applied recently? Any update done to the TDP for Exchange or BA Client?

It's a new installation, but in the beginning we had no problems. Th eonly thing is that the databses are growing a lot (moving data from an old server (EXC 2007) to this one.

Then this sounds like a Microsoft issue rather than a TSM issue.

Check the heartbeat setting on your cluster. Is the Virtual node (and has a separate IP assigned) registered properly in DNS?
