Hi,

I am looking for some basic commands that we can issue in Networker to check that the various tape/ disk libraries (Scalar i2000 and EDL) are working ok, that there are sufficient scratch tapes for each backup group running different schedules, and also to check which tapes need to be moved offsite. It would also be good to have some daily commands/ checks to see why backup groups have failed, so for example looking at Networker error logs.

This doesn't have to be commands, it can also be Networker Man Server GUI checks as well, as I'm fairly new to Networker.

I would recommend looking thru the /nsr/log/daemon.log file regularly for errors. You could write a log parser to look for problems. Also, you can use "nsrjb -V" to check the status of a jukebox mminfo is your friend for listing tapes/savesets/etc
