Need to automate the offsite on TSM 6.3 on window server

Hi Group,

I need to automate the offsite and checkin procedure for TSM servers installed on window server.

Also don't want to use move drm * wherest=vaultret tostat=onsiteret as some time it delete the offsite tapes records.

Also we have EMC DPA tool 6.2, if anyone has implemented there.

It's a bit hard to automate the offsite process if not using DRM as it is designed to automate this process.

It should not delete offsite tape records that are not ready to be deleted, if you can reproduce that problem, I suggest you open a PMR with support.

Yes we are using the DRM.

Do let me know if we can automate it with DRM

But I am looking for different solution ,in this we don't want to type command like move drm * wherest=mountble tostat=vault

I need it should be automatically and mail should be sent to tape ops guy

And tapes which come to from offsite location and are in vaultret state should scan the I/O and send some mail or some script which checkin the tapes
