When I do a restore is there a option/switch in tsm command line that allows me to be more or less verbose with the logging and log period from the direct tsm command and or do I still have to redirect etc. Thanks. Tux242

Type "help" and the dsmc prompt.
The answer is yes you can make it less verbose, and the flag to use is in the help.
