NAS: EMC Celerra
Client: TSM 5.3.3 for Windows 2003 SP1
Server: TSM 5.2.3.5 for AIX
We are attempting restores for our NAS files using the Web Client Interface. Each time we try to invoke the Web Client Interface to look for the files in question, the message ANS2613S - A communication Protocol Error keeps comings up.
Following the instructions for the NDMP backups in the EMC Celerra, we are creating the daily full and incremental backups successfully with the accompanying TOCs. We chose a Windows Server to act as the intermediate and allow and allow for the restores of the data. The Windows Server Admin was created and given the Client Owner Privelages to the NAS shares (and NAS Admin has Client Owner of the Widnows).
When you open the Web Client Interface for the Windows Server to do a restore, the NAS is displayed and does have a drop down menu that consists of the File Level and Image Level. If you click on the Plus Sign for the File Level restore, you are immediately given the ANS2613S popup box. Any other attempts to open that same leg of the restore tree does not do anything (at least perceivable).
This configuration was working fine until we added new NAS Shares which did not display with the 5.2 client. Errors ANS0343E were being cut repeatedly to the Windows Log which pointed to upgrading the client to a higher version. We have tried a myriad of ways to see if we could not at least get the Web client authentication to work. The restores against the NAS are piling up so we need to get this working.
Has anyone else run into this problem and would you have a suggested method to get it back to operational?
