multiple polyset for a client

Hi, can you have multiple policyset for a tsm client? What I need to do is create a new policyset for # of clients to backup only one filesystem.
If you can do this, how do I do it? something like:
1. create a new policyset
2. define mgmt class to plicyset ?
3. Then attach this new policyset to the client?

You can probably see that I'm a total newbie.

I think you don't quite understand it.

Domains contain Policysets which contain your management classes. Each domain can only have ***1*** active policyset (the other policysets in a domain can be older version of the backupset etc but they can never be in use at the same time).

Policysets/management classes do not control which filesystems to backup, they merely specify different possible retention periods and other policies.

To affect which filesystems to backup, look at the DOMAIN option in dsm.opt, and Client Option Sets, and include/exclude statements in dsm.opt.
