Move Log / DB and some diskpool from existing Disks to new Disks

Hello,
I have some question about TSM DB/ TSM log disks, I have to move database, log and some diskpool from IBM Disks to EMC disks.

I just want to know, Can I move DB / Log / Diskpool by AIX disk mirroring (mirror abd splitvg) ?

It's possible, but you are basically on your own with that. If you follow the procedure, you can get the help of IBM if needed.

If you decide to use mirroring, be sure to do the following:
- make sure there are no processes and sessions running on the server, you want a pristine backup
- perform a backup stgpool of the pool you want to move
- perform a database backup and make a copy of your volhist and devconfig
- halt the TSM Server

Do whatever you need to do with your mirroring. Ensure that all filesystems are mounted to their original path before you try to start the server again. If you are successful, the server will start. You can do an audit of a few storage pool volumes just to make sure they were also copied over.

In the event of a failure, you will need to restore from the backup you took earlier.
