KCIIN0363E Failed to attach to the DB2 instance db2inst1

Hello,

I'm trying to configure the Report and Monitoring tool version 6,2 on AIX 6.1
But when i try to configure the passwords of the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server
I got the error: KCIIN0363E Failed to attach to the DB2 instance db2inst1.

Why, i'm logged in as root and can use the db2 command from the command line.

I see a few DB2 processes:

If you run db2ilist that will show the instances that DB2 has. Does db2inst1 show up there?

Also did you add the root user to the /etc/group file for the db2grp1 group?

db2ilist gives db2inst1
I can also start db2 as root and attacht to db2inst1
The root user is add to the group db2grp1

I did a new installation but still have the same problem.

I've changed the password of the db2inst1 user and changedit again tot he original password. Now it works, but i get now the same problem with the ITM user. Changing the password wil not help.
