Not looking for great details ( I can plan later )
However we are on TSM Spectrum Protest 08.01.0600 on Windows 2012 R2 Server, about 25GB Storage or more on multiple network attached drives. Working with CMOD ( Content Manager OnDemand )
Need to upgrade to Windows Server 2019/2022 not sure which one yet
I understand snapshot backups will not work with Windows 2012 to 2019/2022
First: Is it even possible ( or make sense ) to setup a new Install on 2019/2022 server
Backup / Restore TSM Database
Somehow attach matching storage drive
Or would it be easier and less risky to ...
Snapshot to 2016 .... Then Snapshot that to 2019/2022
Any tidbits would help
Last time we did this was from UNIX to WINDOWS and was almost a year long process
if Exporting and Importing millions of records from CMOD OnDemand
Thanks
John
