Greetings all,

I have a couple of questions regarding the interoperability of TSM products. Since the TSM server was upgraded (hardware and software) our clients using the API have experienced a major decrease in performance.

I'm just getting to learn the technology so please bear with me if I ask dumb questions :)

The architecture is as follows:

o TSM Server side is v5.3.2.0 running on Windows 64-bit
- this was recently upgraded from v5.3.2.0 Windows 32-bit

o Integrated Solutions Console 6.0.1

o Clients are using v5.2.2 API running on Windows 32-bit
- not changed in many months
-dsmntapi.dll, tsmapi.dll, and tsmutil1.dll

o The server is located in a datacenter in the central part of the country
while all the clients are dispersed throughout. The clients connect to
the server via dedicated VPN. Bandwidth depends on the configuration
but typically consists of multiple T1s lines up to T3s.

We monitor the bandwidth and found that since the cutover to 64-bit on the server side, the clients have seen a drastic reduction in bandwidth utilization. While on 5.3 32-bit we were seeing full utilization but now only get anywhere from 10-25% of available.

The question I have at this point: Is there some interoperability issue with the v5.3 64-bit server and v5.2.2 32-bit client api?
