install of TDP for exchange, defining the nodes

When we set up the target and agent nodes for TDP for exchange I was told to set up one as a BA client and one as the TDP module. Agent node is the BA node target node is the TDP node.

The install instructions seem to me to say they should both be BA nodes each with a separate opt and scheduler.

which way is correct?

Hi,

I'll tell you how we do it at work.

If you are just going to backup your databases, you can have just one node, that one will be for the baclient to schedule the *.cmd to automate the backups.

Now if you need to backup carpet files AND you Exchange databases, you'll need two nodes, one for the baclient and another for the tdpexchange.
