incr backup

i want maximum protection of my exchange server,

i decided to scheduled incremental backup after every 3 hours of my exchange server... is it good or bad ?

tell me do i need the full backup of my exchange server as well ?

We run staggered full of our exchange SGs as estate is too big for all to run full each night. Each Sg has one full backup each week and incrementals every other day - i.e. 1 full with 6 incrementals.

MS "recommendation" always used to be full each day but if you can't then incrementals but a full once a week.

if your exchange dbs are small - you could go incrementals during the day if you really wanted to and then have fulls each night.

Exch2007 has CCR capabilities are you doing anything like this?

Ok so it had better take full backup at midnight regular, and incremental backup in working hours after every 3 hours for the maximum protection of my exchange server.
