Hi,
i have question about tdp domino.

When inactivate logs command run deletes all transaction log in tsm server?

Thanks in advance

from IBM Support page:

Domdsmc inactivatelogs expires transaction log files from backup storage. Because there is a single shared transaction log for all logged databases on a Domino server, log files cannot be inactivated (and allowed to expire) until all databases that require that log file for recovery are inactive. This command queries the database backups on the Tivoli Storage Manager server to determine which log files are required by any active database backup. This command also inactivates log files that are no longer required (because the database backups were inactivated). This command should be run after full database backups are completed, to inactivate the transaction logs at the same time the database backups requiring them are inactivated.

great but i don't understand how backup strategy works when i use tdp for domino.

My idea is to make:

1.incremental backup once a day
2.archive log 4 times a day
3.selective backup once a week
4.inactive logs once a week after selective backup finished

Now I want to run a restore:

1. When restore run i can apply the transaction log only incremental backups or even in a selective?
2. Transaction log were not expires after inactivate log command when expires? After no more connected with any db?
3. If transaction log expire with the db, then do not use the management class and can not set transaction logs number versions?

Thanks in advance
